Working in partnership, Candleston & Lovell Sponsor Portskewett and Sudbrook FC

Candleston Homes has partnered with Lovell to sponsor a football club near our exciting new Elderwood Parc development in Portskewett, Monmouthshire.

Established in 2019, Portskewett and Sudbrook Football Club is a mini and junior football club that plays in the Monmouthshire Leagues. The club is mostly run by passionate volunteers as family and community are at the heart of its mission.

Candleston Homes and Lovell contributed to the sponsorship of new training tops for the under-five, six, and seven players. As a result of this sponsorship, the Candleston and Lovell logos now appear on the new training tops.

Candleston, a subsidiary of Melin Homes, is passionate about supporting local voluntary organisations within the communities it builds. Through supporting organisations like Portskewett and Sudbrook Football Club, Candleston helps its new neighbourhoods come to life.

Scott Rooks, Commercial Director of Candleston Homes, said: “We are delighted to be involved in providing the training tops to the children, working with the local club on this project has enabled us to put community legacy projects like this one, at the heart of everything we do. Seeing all the children’s faces at the presentation of the tops confirms why we support projects like this. We would like to thank Lovell for their support and commitment to the project and we look forward to the next project in the local community.”

Jamie Grannell, Club Secretary at Portskewett and Sudbrook FC, said: “Portskewett and Sudbrook Junior Football Club are extremely grateful to Candleston Homes and Lovell for their most generous contribution to our work in the local communities. We pride ourselves on forging strong relationships with businesses in our local area in order to provide a quality football experience for the children within our club.
