The project links to the school’s curriculum and encourages children to investigate the outdoors, supporting their mental health and wellbeing, as well as creating an inclusive environment. The children now have a safe inclusive pathway to complete a variety of play activities, including their ‘daily mile’.
“After visiting the school, it was very satisfying to see how much the newly constructed footpath will benefit the school, children and staff.
On behalf of Randall’s Groundworks, we hope everyone is happy with the work and thank you for involving us.”
Howard John — Managing Director of Randalls Groundwork
The new pathway which has created an inclusive environment for pupils at Llanfoist Primary School
Pupils from the School Council had loads of fun, christening the new pathway by sprinkling grass seed, Pupil, Oscar told us:
“The new path is great, and it really improves the school. We enjoyed doing our part and grass seeding the edges of the path. It will look great once it grows!”
With Headteacher, Stewart Davies, adding:
“The physical and mental health benefits of the daily mile are huge in terms of pupil wellbeing. The new path will allow the children to complete a full circuit of the Llanfoist grounds no matter what the weather. Thank you”
